About Us





Ballyshannon National School is situated in the Parish of Suncroft, it was established in 1901. It is a co-educational Catholic Primary School with a Board of Management, catering for children from 4 to 12 years.

There are 128 children in our school.

Our school has a very active Parents’ Association which supports the school and community.

We take part in lots of extra-curricular activities including; Junior Entrepreneur, Discovery Primary Science, Green Schools, Active Schools, Cumann na mBunscoil, Soccer, Rugby, Debating, Chess, Gaelic Football and Choir.

Our staff consists of innovative and enthusiastic people who endeavour to provide the children with a holistic education. It is our aim to ensure the children are happy at school!
