Ballyshannon National School is an integral part of the Parish of Suncroft, it was established in 1901. It is a co-educational Catholic Primary School with a Board of Management, catering for children from 4 to 12 years.  

Our goal is to educate and empower our children to develop a love of learning in their most formative years that will serve them throughout their lives.  

There are 132 children in our school. 

Our school has a very active Parents’ Association which supports the school and community.

We take part in lots of extra-curricular activities including; Junior Entrepreneur, Discovery Primary Science, Green Schools, Active Schools, Cumann na mBunscoil, Soccer, Rugby, Debating, Chess, Gaelic Football and Choir.

Our staff consists of innovative and enthusiastic people who endeavour to provide the children with a holistic education. It is our aim to ensure the children are happy at school!
